Ashby Baggers Make a Strong Showing at UK Cornhole Qualifier in Bury St Edmunds

The Ashby Baggers Cornhole Club had an electric weekend in Bury St Edmunds, showcasing their skill at the 2nd UK qualifier with an exceptional turnout of 11 club members. With a vibrant atmosphere, the competition was fierce, and the Baggers left an indelible mark with the largest club representation.

Tony Gavan, Ashby's top pro, led the charge, achieving an impressive 7th place among 40 contenders. Notably, Tony and Danny Saunt were among the five competitors who remained undefeated in the initial rounds, a testament to their prowess.

Making their competitive debut, Tom Allen, Nick Pettitt, Dale Unwin, Ben Gregory, and Mark Pallet delivered performances that turned heads. Meanwhile, returning players like Danny Saunt, Jon Wishart, Alistair Pettitt, Ben Shaw, and young prodigy Austin Pettitt climbed the UK Cornhole League Rankings. Full results here.

Adding to the competitive spirit, the Bury Baggers hosted a pre-qualifier blind draw pairs competition, where Alistair Pettitt, paired with Josh Hiser of the Bury Baggers, captivated spectators, finishing as runners-up in a thrilling finale.
